The fragrance of Copal is far different from the traditional scent of other resins and has been described as earthy, lemony, and rooty with a hint of pine
Since resin will not burn on its own like incense sticks or cones, it must burned on charcoal (included) and in a heat resistant burner (not included -see our tabletop incense burners)
This means there is no wood to burn and mask the smell as with stick incense
The scent of resin incense is far more intense than other forms of incense so only a small amount is used at a time. A one-ounce bag of Copal Resin incense lasts a long time.
