This is the car that I got after trading in my '89 Coupe DeVille.

It is just a base-model DeVille so it features the detuned 275hp "Northstar" 4.6litre overhead-cammed engine which provides plenty of power and has been returning around 20 miles-per-gallon.
It has a traction control system which is cool on wet roads but makes it nearly impossible to spin the tires -compared to my '89 which had far less power but could smoke the tires from a 3/4 throttle launch...
I have also found that newer Cadillacs are missing some of the old Cadillac "trademark" features such as the little fender mounted headlight monitors, removeable trash bin in the passenger side kick panel, little lights in the keyholes that turn on when the door button is pressed, etc.
This car however has other cool features such as the "information" button which gives you a digital tachometer, water temp readout, % oil life left and more simply by pressing it. There are also cup holders and storage compartments in both the front and rear armrests, steering wheel mounted radio and climate control controls and more.
xx Purchased the car with only 137,000 miles on it
xx Took the car back to the dealer due to a leaking brake fluid. They fixed the issue for free and gave me a '93 DeVille as a loaner which didn't even have a power opener for the gas cap door.
6/20/03 Noticed a big leak in the radiator. The car had previously given a "check coolant level" message. although the coolant level in the surge tank was fine the radiator was completely empty.
10/29/03After the $485 radiator issue and a ruptured fuel line on top of the intake manifold (which would have eventually started a fire) I traded this car in for a 2000 DeVille -the lesson learned -don't buy a 137,000+ mile used car without an extended warranty
